I have noticed the the original Blender has a template menu in the text editor, and the BFA text editor does not. I am learning python for Blender these days, but not seeing the template examples load up are…. somewhat discouraging. I prefer the default scripting of BFA and would prefer to try the templates out in BFA.

Are they enabled/disabled somewhere? How do I activate the templates?

Ah, found them.. in a more logical place, but in a submenu.

    Glad you found it :)

We could put them upwards by one hierarchy. But then it pollutes the file menu a bit more. I find the current way good as it is :)

I’m down for getting rid of the sub menu and having two template entries… Maybe Open Shading Language Templates and Python Templates  since both are different codes and different template systems, would make sense..

Or maybe just making the header menu entry New from Template just to make it sound more logical to have a sub category?

    Not that important..
