Hello, brand new user of software – as well known, right type of person to pick bugs!

Steps:

Start bforartists, ver. 3.5.1, Windows 10 Pro

File -> New from Template -> Sculpting

Remesh – Voxel Remesh … clay ball either grotesqely distorts; or program crashes, or freezes – requiring Windows close

As a workaround, and as long as we haven’t found the cause, remeshing seems to work just fine from the default workspace.
