Thanks for the report.
I unfortunately don’t have a tablet to test. But does Blender 2.78 c work ? Does Bforartists work when you use the Blender keymap instead of the Bforartists one? You can adjust this in the splash screen.

Had it all set to defaults.
I did some testing. My Intuous3, if I ‘remove’ the drivers and use it as a mouse…behaves like a mouse (so no pressure sensitivity and no ‘extra tablet buttons’, and no proportional scaling for screen-to-tablet precision).
My Huion doesn’t do anything; it just stops working…no mouse pointer movement, no clicking registration. But if I grab my mouse…the pointer moves, left clicks, right clicks, etc. But the tablet & pen behave as if it isn’t even plugged in. If I tab out of Bforartists to another open program or even the desktop, the tablet/pen works as if nothing happened. Tab back into Bforartists and POOF! Nothing. Mouse will work in Bforartists, but the Huion WH1409 seems to not be recognized at all. (oh, I’m using the Huion directly via the USB connection; it’s wireless if I plug in a USB reciever; same effect no matter which way I use it).
Anyway…seems Bforartists isn’t recognizing the Huion tablet at all. Bforartists doesn’t freeze or crash…it just completely ignores my Huion. I tried using Maya and MAX defaults as well…no change.11. March 2017 at 1:14 #16598srlebedParticipant

I just tested Bforartists with my Wacom Intuos 4 Pro and it works fine. I usually don’t use a touch tablet for 3d work so I haven’t tested this thoroughly, but I could use the menus, select objects and verts, etc.11. March 2017 at 6:35 #16599ReinerParticipant

Have you meanwhile tested if your tablet works fine with Blender 2.78c?4. September 2020 at 5:02 #22231jianshiParticipant

I’ve recently been ramping up my Blender skills and am sold on the benefits of using a drawing tablet.
Thus i got an XP-PEN Star 03 digital drawing tablet for around 70 bucks and never regretted. Its also without battery, which is nicer in daily use imho.
The tablet was recognized ootb by xinput as UC-Logic TABLET 1060N and is driven by evdev. Mapping and buttonflips all possible with (startup-)scripts.
