There is a new Blender version available. And so there is also a new version from us. Bforartists Version 2.9.0.

Bforartists 2.9.0 brings the new features and fixes from Blender 2.93 LTS. Bforartists 2.9.0 is already based at Blender 3.0 Alpha. We have fixed the usual things to adopt the updates in Blender to Bforartists, like aligning new ui content left, human understandable tooltips, and adding new icons to the new tools. And the new editors in Blender 2.93 needed updates to fit to our UI philosophy too.

Bforartists 2.9.0 brings back the tool shelf tabs, which was one of the main works for this release. Most of the content from the header menus can now be found in the tool shelf too, as icon buttons. To show this tool shelf content is optional. You can turn it off if not needed. Another big ongoing project is to separate the tooltips in a proper way. The nodes now have each an icon in the viewport. The add menu content in the geometry nodes editor is also available in the sidebar in panels, with icon buttons if wanted. Which was the second big project in this release. And we have the usual small tweaks and changes. All in all we have over 280 changes in this release.

The Windows binaries are already available. The Linux and Mac builds should follow soon. Please be patient.
