The Screencastkeys addon works fine with Bforartists. I use it regularly. Could you please tell us what version of Bforartists and Screencast keys addon you use, and make a screenshot of the error message? I use the newest version 3.8.0 of the addon here, with the newest Bforartists developer version. But also older versions of the addons works fine, i have tested it with 3.6.0 before a few moments.
