I fear this would not help. We are already Blender under the hood. This fork just concentrates mainly at the UI and usability. The featureset is equal. And when it does not work in Blender, then it does not work in Bforartists.
The plugin is made for a much older Blender version, back into a time where our fork did not exist. You could try to import the model with the Blender version for wich the addon was made for. 2013 was the release date of the mdb import export addon. This must have been around Blender version 2.60. That’s still no guarantee that you can get it to work. But is worth a shot.
