UV Mapping, Cycles, display Texture while mapping

It is already a bit fuzzy to display a texture without material at a mesh with BI renderer. You have to adjust quite a few settings. But then you can even display generated textures at it, like a checker texture.

The same way does not work with Cycles. But the panel is available.

Nothing to fix here. It's simply the way it is. I cannot hide this panel or parts of it neither. It is needed for when you create a texture node.
